Introduced in 1988, the Sea-Dweller 16600 is the heavy-duty sibling to the Submariner 16610 of the same era. Unlike the Submariner, it features a thicker case and a helium escape valve, enhancing its ability to handle deep diving environments. It lacks the iconic Cyclops lens over the date, a nod to professional utility. This reference was in production until 2008, when it was succeeded by the Sea-Dweller Deepsea 116660. This particular example features a rare "Swiss Only" dial configuration from the late '90s transition period.
