About the Rolex Submariner Date – Ref. 16613 (Blue Dial / Steel & Yellow Gold / 40mm):
The Rolex Submariner Date reference 16613 is the two-tone Rolesor interpretation of Rolex’s iconic professional dive watch. Produced from 1989 to 2009, it pairs a 40mm stainless steel case with yellow gold accents throughout the bezel, crown, and bracelet. This example features the blue dial and matching blue bezel, one of the most recognizable configurations of the reference. By the early 2000s, Rolex transitioned from tritium to Super-LumiNova, indicated by the “Swiss Made” dial signature seen on later examples. Powered by the Caliber 3135, the 16613 delivers chronometer-certified performance and 300 meters of water resistance, combining luxury materials with true tool-watch capability.
