About the Rolex Sea-Dweller – Ref. 116600 (Stainless Steel / Black Dial / Oyster Bracelet / 40mm):
The Rolex Sea-Dweller ref. 116600 marked the return of the Sea-Dweller after a brief absence from the regular production lineup. Replacing the ref. 16600, this model was the first to sport a ceramic bezel and also featured a modern Maxi dial with larger hour markers and minute markings around the entire bezel. This model also boasts longer-lasting Chromalight and a Glidelock extension clasp on the bracelet. It was only in production for a few short years before the ref. 116600 was discontinued and replaced by the larger 43mm ref. 126600 with an added Cyclops magnifier over the date, making it a prized collector's item among passionate collectors with an eye for the finer details.
